Stręgiel , I thought this is a Nature Reserves, so I stop at the mouth of Sapina.
There are two bridges, by the second one there is a pipeline with 3,50 meter airdraft. Not a problem for my houseboat.
But can I still enter this lake? I think there a lovely anchor bays?
Thank you in advance and also für the beautiful pictures

On Stręgiel Lake was Silence Zone but now there is no such restrictions.

Horatio, what is height from waterline and draft of your boat ?

Quite a lot - according to my opinion, at higher water levels, such as are currently on WJM you should pass, but at lower water levels you will not pass.

There is about ~0,50m depth at most.. You may try with very calm wind and minimum speed. The shallowest place is just before the bridge.
I'm not sure if You can make it (only with high water level.. maybe)

MirekMors - 2017-04-18, 14:53

0,5 m depth ? Closer 1 m or more.
urbos - 2017-04-18, 15:43

Mirek - maybe on average... I'm talking about the shallowest place.

I don't want to discourage Horatio, but I wouldn't go there on 0,7m deep boat. If You'd have to I'd put a man to check depth before I go...

Gentlemen, thank you very much indeed for your kind helps.
So I shall not enter this lake with my steel houseboat. I go to my favorite place "firebird".
Have a nice day

If I were You I'd take a canoe in Ogonki and go to Stregiel Lake (and further on Sapina river). Little $, lot of fun. But You need to paddle :)

Yes of course, this is a good idea. In Ireland I had always a dinghy (rowing boat) behind my cruiser, but in Mazury it is not possible because mooring is always with the stern (r.k., roman catholic) necessary.

By the way, what ist the best way in to Zimny Kat?

... as it will fit you - avoid only everything what is too shallow or marked ;-)

Thank you again, you do so much work for me. This waterway from the north near the shore I think this is a good no, the best course.
Thank you and have a nice day
